We are honoured that Northamptonshire Newspapers have chosen Niamh's Next Step as one of the beneficiaries along with Willen Hospice for there 2013 Hollywood Image Ball. This takes place at Whittlebury Hall on Friday 1st November 2013. It promises to be a great night. Please click on the link below for more info and to book tickets
Last week our charity chairman Chris Curry went back to Whittlebury Hall Hotel in Northamptonshire where we held our amazing, star studded charity gala ball in August 2013. Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa is an amazing place and the staff and management have been fantastic supporters of Niamh's Next Step. Indeed the reason for my visit was to meet up with sales manager Sean Coxon to receive a charity donation of £2120.00. We would like to say a massive 'thank you' to everyone involved for helping make our gala ball such a success.

Funding for SIOPEN, ( International Society of Paediatric Oncology Europe Neuroblastoma Group) supporting UK Neuroblastoma Clinical Research
From November 2013 Niamh's Next Step are proud to become joint funders to cover the United Kingdom's annual levy to the European research network that carries out research into Neuroblastoma, the International Society of Paediatric Oncology Europe Neuroblastoma Group (SIOPEN).
This funding means that UK children will continue to have access to clinical
Neuroblastoma trials and will also ensure that there is continued maintenance and development of the SIOPEN database, where all data on trials from the European countries involved in the High Risk Neuroblastoma study, is collated, analysed and used accordingly for the benefit of UK children with Neuroblastoma.
We have recently had important meetings with Prof Andrew Pearson at the Institute of Cancer Research in Surrey and Ben Sharp from The Neuroblastoma Society with views to funding vital research but we want to be sure the hard earned money raised by our amazing charity supporters goes to the right place. We are taking professional advise & guidance and will be acting on their results early in 2014. SIOPEN however played a big part in Niamh's treatment options when fighting the disease and we know that certain vital medication would not have been accessible to her if it wasn't for the UK being enrolled in SIOPEN.
We are really very pleased to be getting involved, and this is just the start for Niamh's Next Step. We are looking forward to making a difference and helping other children with Neuroblastoma in Niamh's memory.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, fundraised and supported. You are amazing!
Niamh's Next Step are so pleased and proud to announce that former England Cricket Star and now talkSPORT radio drive time show presenter Darren Gough has agreed to join our amazing team of charity patrons to help us raise vital money and awareness to fight Neuroblastoma. Darren is a genuine guy who is passionate about helping our charity and we are so grateful he has agreed to join our cause.
You can listen to Darren Gough with Adrian Durham every weekday between 4-7pm for scintillating debate, views and exclusive interviews. You can follow Darren on Twitter @DGoughie

Thank you so much Paul. It really does mean so much....
On Sunday 8th Sept at the Old Grammarians Memorial Ground in Wellingborough we held our first 5 Mile Smile.
It consisted of a 5 mile walk/run and a superb family fun day which included stalls, a bouncy castle village, face painting, fantastic food and drink and a 'live' entertainment stage with 12 superb local live bands playing throughout the day.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, to all the bands and dancers that gave their time for free to support and to everyone who came along to support the event. On the day we raised £2500.00 which is amazing. Thank you.
On Sat 3rd August 2013 at Whittlebury Pk Golf Club and then afterwards at Whittlebury Hall Hotel we held our 1st official Niamh's Next Step charity golf day and evening gala ball.
The golfers arrived nice and early and were well looked after at Whittlebury Golf Club with plenty of coffee and bacon rolls all round. Some hit the putting green, some the drive and some the bar!
The weather was kind and after a great days golf we headed to the club house for a well deserved pint and the presentation. The winner of the team event and the first Niamh Curry Memorial Trophy was Best Deal Insurance. The overall single winner was Harlequins rugby player Karl Dickson. Congratulations to everyone involved and thank you for coming along.
Then we all got our glad rags on and headed over to the fabulous Brooklands Suite and Whittlebury Hall Hotel. The evening got of to a great start with everyone arriving on time and on good form. The room looked amazing thanks to JR Centrepieces and Video Inn Production and we sat down to a superb meal. Everyone was relaxed and enjoying the night and we are pleased to announce that we raised 32k on the night.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the businesses that sponsored and supported the event and everyone who came along making the night so special. See you again next year.
